SG Masters Review

1 May 2008

The Masters at Augusta is well known as one of the most difficult events in sport to get tickets to attend. However, Stewart Golf took a party of 20 excited customers to Georgia to experience a 5 day festival of golf and good company, including two full days walking the course with Tiger & co.

Friday

Having arrived at the 5-Star accommodation on Thursday night, all guests were treated to 18 holes at one of the areas finest courses.

Saturday & Sunday

These were the days that everyone had waited for, and all the stories about Augusta national were true. Those guests who arrived early enough to place their chairs in the choice locations around the greens were then free to walk the fairways, safe in the knowledge that nobody would steal their spots. The knowledgeable and respectful spectators at Augusta national lived up to their reputation.

When not walking with those who had made the final cut, Stewart Golf guests were treated to full hospitality at the exclusive 1018 Club. Familiar faces include Rugby World Cup winner (and X3R owner) Matt Dawson, pictured left.

Whilst at the 1018 Club Stewart Golf guests were treated to fine foods, wines and beer, while those weary from a days spectating could take advantage of the clubs professional masseurs.

Monday

After the dust had settled on Trevor Immelman's victory, attention turned to a special Stewart Golf tournament at another of the areas finest golf courses. Victor for the day was Peter Harris (pictured receiving his prize from joint Stewart Golf MD, David Funnell), with Roger Brooks and his son coming second and third respectively.

"The trip was a great all-round experience. The highlight was obviously walking the Augusta National with the players, but my friends and I also had great fun on the golf courses and of course sampling the nightlife - see you next year!"

- Nick Robson.

"Thank you to all at Stewart Golf and the 1018 Club for a superb trip. My guests and I felt very well looked after throughout and it was a great experience to see the Augusta National first hand. Looking forward to 2009!"
