The Masters 2009

Do you ever dream about going to The Masters? Stewart Golf has again teamed up with The 1018 Club (a prestigious hospitality venue at the Augusta National) to bring you a package for the golfer who dreams of nothing but green jackets and Amen corner when April comes around.

Following the success of the 2008 tour (please visit our news pages for a review), Stewart Golf has listened to the feedback from the customers who attended the day and have revised and improved the package accordingly.

The itinerary for the tour is listed below, but for a full explanation of the package please send either complete our enquiry form or call us on 0870 350 18 18 to talk to one of the team in more detail.

Wednesday April 8th: Depart chosen UK airport to Columbia, GA.

You are met at Columbia Airport and driven to your accommodation where you can meet up with other members of the tour.

Thursday April 9th: Woodlands Golf & Country Club

Tee times are reserved (green fees and buggies included) at Woodlands Golf & Country Club. We will be welcomed by professional Tom Mason and owner Ken McCarthy who will also join us for a late afternoon buffet in the club house.

We return to the hotel early evening with the opportunity to visit Columbia's social life at Five Points with its plentiful supply of restaurants, bars and entertainment.

Friday April 10th: The Masters at Augusta National

Our one hour journey to Augusta national gives you the chance to read the papers and relax before your day. You will arrive at the 1018 Club which is open for your use throughout the day.

Today is the second day of the US Masters and you can take time to walk with the players on the course, spend time browsing the gift shop for your friends back home or relax at the 1018 Club.

We meet back at the 1018 Club before travelling back to Columbia in the early evening.

Saturday April 11th: The Masters at Augusta National

We depart Columbia at 8.30am to again visit the Augusta National, and take breakfast at the 1018 Club. Spend the day on the course or at the 1018 Club, and follow the tournament leaders as they fight it out for the lead before the final days play.

Sunday April 12th: Stewart Golf Tournament

We visit the Horse Racing Hall of Fame before heading to Woodside Plantations 'The Reserve' golf course. In 2003 this course was voted the 8th best new American course by Golf Digest magazine.

We have a 1.30pm shotgun start, followed by early evening buffet on the clubs veranda while watching the final holes of the 2009 US Masters. After celebrating a memorable Stewart Golf US Masters tour, we head back to Columbia for our final night.

In 2008 we spent Saturday and Sunday at the Augusta National, but customers commented that because the majority of the galleries followed the same players it was not too easy to see much of the action. Therefore we have changed the days at The Masters to be Friday and Saturday, which are more expensive days to attend but they allow guests to see the whole field on Friday, and then watch the leaderboard take shape after the cut on Saturday.

Stewart Golf is selling this package in association with Go2Sport a sports travel specialist (ATOL Licence 9305). For further details please email info@stewartgolf.com and we will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Please note that the price below does not include flights because many customers choose to make their own way to Columbia as part of a longer trip to the USA.
