F1 Lithium stops intermittently on the course.

Missed Signals

There are a number of reasons why your trolley may stop on the golf course.

The F1 lithium has a screen that displays useful messages as to why it has stopped. Any time the trolley doesn't do something you have asked it is important that you take note of what the screen says.

OVERLOAD: If something happens that might cause a spike in the power the trolley draws, the trolley will protect itself by cutting out. This could be anything from turning in heavy grass to going up a steep hill, or running in to a tree root or kerb.

OVERHEAT: If the ambient temperature is very high, the trolley will cut out in order to protect the electronics and battery from overheating. Wait for the trolley to cool down and start again. Using a lighter golf bag and using the steering less will help keep the electronics cool.

Missed signals: If you don't have line of sight to the trolley then a signal may not get through.

Interference: Any kind of electrical noise on a course could lead to a missed signal. Power lines (overhead and embedded in paths), metal reinforcement grids, cattle grids, mobile phones, GPS equipment etc can all either emit or interrupt signals.

Stay awake signals: The handset will send a 'stay awake' signal to the trolley every few seconds, this lets the trolley know the handset is still in range. The trolley is expecting to receive these, so if it doesn't receive one it will assume it is out of range and apply the brake.
